Penelope Project X - Deux Chenes
Say hello to “Deux Chênes” (“Two Oaks”) — our Penelope Project X bourbon finished in French Cognac casks, and one of the most exciting barrels we’ve brought to the club. We started with a killer MGP bourbon, but the Cognac finish takes it to another level. Think bold caramel and toasted oak from the American side, fused with rich fruit, honeyed sweetness, and silky depth from the French brandy cask. Two oaks. Two worlds. One insanely dialed-in single barrel.
“Deux Chênes” is the definition of why Project X is so fun — big flavor, elegance from the French finish, and a finish that just hangs on.
This experimental series must have been a popular one, because Penelope has already filed a label for the next release in their Cooper Series, Madagascar, which is also a Cognac cask-finished bourbon.
